There are some great artists on the Otago Peninsula – Almost an Island.

Flooding and illness: We have had to change this tour. We are no longer going to the Peninsular – Almost an Island. We will reschedule this Tour, perhaps over summer.

We have created another fabulous tour. We will still meet at Brett McDowell Gallery. Then we will go to the Hocken Library. They are opening especially for us,and to have someone to talk to the current exhibition Miranda  Parks, Francis Hodgkin Resident. And they will open The Stacks: the extensive collection in storage. Expect the greats of NZ art, Southland art, and other great works.

Francis Upritchard, who has represented New Zealand at the Venice Biennale, is currently being exhibited at the DPAG – Dunedin Art Gallery, and Toi Tu (Settler Museum) has a new  lithograph exhibition. Given time and interest we will get to these exhibitions.

You will be stepped through the morning with the lovely Jennifer Hopkinson, James Dignan and Catherine Barigga.
We are most likely to finish at 1 pm but may go a little longer.

This will be a great morning immersed in art with artists and art lovers.

We will meet at Brett McDowell Gallery in Dowling St and carpool.

We can take six people between two cars, but if you have your own transport do let us know: we will be delighted for you to join us.
