SCAPE Public Art Guided Tours

Join Dr. Warren Feeney for the guided New Season and Legacy Walks. Warren has a long career in Canterbury arts, as an academic, arts critic in The Post, Director of COCA. He completed his first degrees at Canterbury University and a doctorate at Otago. He is the author of the 20 year  history of SCAPE. He is now filling the gap left by the general print media with a Broadsheet Art Beat to be launched in conjunction with SCAPE 2018.

The preparation for the history of 20 year history of SCAPE included 98 in-depth interviews with artist and related industry. He was struck by the collaborative efforts between artists and industry to create sculpture.

What a find these Walks are. I went on the first one and will be looking out for every new Walk coming up. I loved the commentary by Warren. AND we had a spontaneous artist talk by Brett Graham., The company was so enjoyable. Being out on a fine spring day was great. I will be taking time off work for the Legacy Walk. Thanks so much.

ArtExplore is a real find. I love contemporary art but don’t really know much about it. This SCAPE Walk with Warren was fantastic. So informative. And a spontaneous Artist Talk by Bret Graham. Superb company. All in the wonderful spring sunshine. I am looking our for all the new walks:
