This is the last week of Sculpture on the Gulf. Join Caril & Brian for a fabulous day on Waiheke, without the weekend crowds, treasuring this great biennial event.
Twenty eight works have been selected for Perpetual Guardian Sculpture on the Gulf 2019. The quality of the works submitted to the independent selection panel gives us a stand out event, matching if not rivalling works exhibited in previous events. Featuring new works by established and emerging New Zealand artists, this special Island experience will challenge and excite us as we explore the sculptural works on the two kilometer coastal walk.
Brian & Caril will have previously been on the Walk and studied the works to provide good background.
We will meet at the Ferry and go together. Or meet us on Waiheke at the Information Centre for the bus to the top. Just let us know to keep a watch for you.
We will take the best part of the day, enjoying a bring and share picnic for lunch together. Nothing too fancy, just breads and salads.
Extra costs are the Ferry, the $5 bus from Matiatia to the start of the Sculpture Walk, and the $10 entry fee.
We aim to get the 4.30 ferry back to the city
We are asking for $20pp for the time and effort Brian especially puts in to share his knowledge of the exhibiting artists.
