We then visit Grace Wright’s studio. Her atmospheric paintings are all-consuming, inviting the viewer into a baroque world of tangled gestures. Represented by Gow Langsford.
Mangere Gallery Nga Tohu Uenuku the home of Maori & Pacific visual and performing arts. Across town to Fresh Gallery on Otara maybe with Cora Allan Wickliffe , Maori & Niuean artist Roll with Me. And the exciting street art in the town centre.
We may extend out to Uxbridge which has the Estuary & Ecology Arts Awards exhibition.
Te Tuhi with The Inner Lives of Islands an group exhibition exploring storytelling instincts from artists from across the Asia-Pacific and how these might reflect ideas of nationhood and diasporic identities from this region.
And long the way a fabulous café lunch (extra cost).
